I will be implementing what I like to call the "LJ Rule" from here on out. This rule is a maximum of 10 picks per day. I'm hoping this will lead to players only posting their most quality picks and allowing for a short analysis to be posted with each pick. If more than 10 picks are posted I will take only the first 10 picks listed. I hope this is ok with everyone and LJ I hope you have a good sense of humor. --RH

There is a new stat Column labeled "D". This column will keep track of how many days in a row a player has not made a pick. If this number gets to 10 then that player will be removed from the board. I will keep the stats so that if this player comes back and starts picking again their record will return to the board. Let me know if you all have any questions. I think this is needed so that a player doesn't pick once and then disappear with a 100% record. --RH

Razor's Picks:

Rez's Picks:

I only got one pick for now, taking the Angels and Weaver over the Blue Jays after Halladay ripped them apart last night, might take more later..
Also just wanted to see if anyone jumped on my stanley cup pick last night? 4-2 Pits exact score bet woulda got you a nice 19-1 like me, plus the Malkin 3 points could have made for a nice prop bet :)

Danno's Picks:

Boy I got roughed up last night. Someone once said Baseball is a funny game !! I was not laughing last night. Shiiite !!! Here we go to rebound big on humpday. Im likin The NY Mets and Pelfrey. Cinncy and Cueto to shut down the Cards.... Playin the percentages and takin the LA Dodgers at home. Also takin the NY Yankees and Andy Petite over the Rangers as the Yanks are playin with alot of confidence and emotion and these two teams dont like each other!! And finally takin the Rays at Tropicana just cuz the Royals suck on the road !!! Go Get Em !!!!!

Bunyah's Picks:

Tool's Picks:

1.Rays over KC Tampa just has more of everything. They can hit and a better bullpen

2.Giants over Wash Cant see Wash winning two straight

3.Cards over Cinci Cards have a much better defense. Looking for Cards to take the series at home.

4.Seattle over Balt Gonnna be a good game. Balt might have more of an edge but im going Seattle for the series

Ya Danno, baseball is a funny game, i find myself laughin at the reasons behind my picks sometimes.

Hope we all do well today, as always ! !

Dankone's Picks:

Ok guys took a little time off from posting picks good thing because i was on a slump well heres for tonight if i'm not too late.

First up :

Kansas City Royals- Every time Bannister pitches he gives them a good chance to win, plus they seem to give him above average run support.

2nd. The Yankees 'nuff said.

Heres a few i think could happen...Twins(home), Rockies(good pitcher), and Giants/Nats Over 8.5.

EFlo's Picks:

BowlSnapper's Picks:

Took a bath last night - now I am squeaky clean! (ugh)

Giants over Nationals - I'm doubting the Nats can catch lightning in a bottle two days in a row. Unit wins #300 tonight. *****pick

Phillies over Padres - I gave them no shot last night, but the Phillies have been hitting on the road. I like them tonight. ****pick

Tigers/Red Sox Under 9 runs - These pitchers are 5 unders/1 over in their last 3 starts combined this season, and 9 out of 13 have gone under the past 3 years. ****pick

Good luck tonight!

Garsha's Pick:

Mets

BamaHammer's Picks:

Bodio27's Picks:

3 picks today:

Tigers ML (+133) too much value at home. Galarraga will rebound and Beckett hasn't been that good on the road lately.

Nationals ML (-121) Zimmerman is their best pitcher, they've averaged 7.5 runs per game against SF, and I do not trust a 45 year old pitcher on the road. Nats win 2 in a row.

Marlins ML (-103) Florida has been hot lately, and I expect Brewers to get swept at home.

JTrim's Picks:

Orioles
Red Sox
Yankees
Dodgers
Angels
Giants
Cubs

Lou Brown's Picks:

Trent's Picks:

Show's Picks:

Not sure about Baseball yet... Maybe after work Ill have a better idea of which way Im going, but for now the only picks I got are:
Serena Williams
Monfils

Wow I suck at Tennis...had some time to think about it at work and this is what I got myself to believe...
Giants- teh Nats wont win 2 in a row, plus the Big Unit is ready for #300.(Plus, the Giants as a dog against the Nats, with Johnson on the mound is money)
Red Sox- Josh Beckett, and the Sox offense has been on point lately, and they face Galarraga who lost his last 5 starts.
Yankess- Pettite at home, and the Rangers gave the Yankees some motivation the other night!
Angels- Weaver has been solid and Im still not sold on the Blue Jays after that 9 gm losing streak.

Calimatts's Picks:

Samls510's Picks:

Kaz's Picks:

only one game I like. I'm taking Weaver and the Angels over Toronto with the ML selection.

Dawg's Picks:

Mets - They will NOT lose a series against the Pirates
Dodgers - Dodgers take the momentum from last nights game into this game and win pretty easily

  17. Cardinals- they will win the rubber match as it is an early important division game

Twins- Mauer is red hot and Swarzak has been good so far and Cliff Lee hardly gets run support plus no Sizemore, Cabrera and Hafner

Dodgers - Will not lose series at home vs Arizona especially with Billingsle on the mound

Philadelphia - I know its tough to sweep a team on the road but the phillies are great on the road at least 10 games over .500 on the road and their offense is red hot

    ReplyDelete
  18. Really tired, and not enough time to analyze games closely tomorrow, so take these with a grain of salt...June 4th I like 4 ML selections

1)CWS and Buehrle (finally a reason to believe)
2)TB and Shields (jumpin' on the TB bandwagon)
    3)Atlanta and Jurrjens (Atlanta's best)
5)St. Louis and Carpenter (Harang's got problems)

  19. OK goin with the early games today!

Red Sox- The Sox offense will stay hot against the D Train.
Mets- Even with the swine flu and injuries I think Pelfrey handles the Pirates, -Nate McLouth
Blue Jays- At home with Tallett on the mound who has been pitching well lately, against a struggling Lackey

    ReplyDelete
  20. Here we go for Thursty Thursday... Im stayin with Pelfrey and the NY Mets after the rainout last night... Goin with the White Sox and Buerle who has been a stud all season!! Also takin the Rays for the same reason as last night... Royals on the road and add in Shields on the mound for the Rays at Tropicana. I also like Randy Johnson and San Fran in the write-in game. Last but not least, Wandy Rodriguez and the Astros. Houston on a 4 game roll and Wandy owns the Rockies !!!

  29. Finished 2-1 yesterday, with a PPD game. I guess there was no reason to believe in the White Sox after all. Looks like a big card to me for the 5th. Hope we all win some money!

Two 5 inning selections and possibly 5 ML picks -
    1)Detoit with Verlander (5 inning)
    2)KC with Greinke (5 inning)
3)Cubs and Dempster over Reds and awful Owings
4)Wash. Nats. - battle of the worst pitchers, I'll take the better bats
5)Nats/Mets over 10 or less - don't know the line yet, but if the total is 10 or less, I'm on the over
    6)Seattle/Minn. over 7.5
7)TAMPA damn BAY with Price over the way overvalued (in this game at least) Yanks - this may be a good 5 inning bet also. Sabathia's been good lately, but he's spotty a lot of the time. Price is good and getting better, and I think he'll match up well with the Yankees. TB offense is good enough to take this one.
