I will be implementing what I like to call the "LJ Rule" from here on out. This rule is a maximum of 10 picks per day. I'm hoping this will lead to players only posting their most quality picks and allowing for a short analysis to be posted with each pick. If more than 10 picks are posted I will take only the first 10 picks listed. I hope this is ok with everyone and LJ I hope you have a good sense of humor. --RH

TOP 3 Picks of the Day

There is a new stat Column labeled "D". This column will keep track of how many days in a row a player has not made a pick. If this number gets to 10 then that player will be removed from the board. I will keep the stats so that if this player comes back and starts picking again their record will return to the board. Let me know if you all have any questions. I think this is needed so that a player doesn't pick once and then disappear with a 100% record. --RH

Razor's Picks:

Friday thank god.....Let's make some money:

1. Cubs over Reds. Zambrano is coming off his suspension, but he doesn't even have to be at his best to beat owings and the Reds without Votto.
Zambrano Last 3 starts:
DATEOPPRESULTIPHRERHRBBSOGBFBTBF#PitDec.Rel.ERA
05/27PITW 5-26.17210360029114---- 4.22
05/22@SDL 0-44.2333047372297L(3-2)-- 4.64
05/03FLAW 6-45.0422013781978W(3-1)-- 4.50

Owings Last 3 starts:
DATEOPPRESULTIPHRERHRBBSOGBFBTBF#PitDec.Rel.ERA
05/31@MILL 2-55.285513591027103L(3-6)-- 5.10
05/26HOUW 6-45.06330436112499---- 4.78
05/21PHIL 5-123.0655133561771L(3-5)-- 4.71

2. Tampa Bay over Yanks. The Price is right here. You have to be kidding me that they are giving a +180 line or better on David Price. Yum Yum! No Longoria will suck if he doesn't start. In case you missed it this was Price's box score line last start:
DATEOPPRESULTIPHRERHRBBSOGBFBTBF#PitDec.Rel.ERA
05/30MINW 5-25.251102115725108W(1-0)-- 3.00

11 K's in 5 2/3. +180 for the kid. Sign me UP!!!

3. Orioles over the A's. Guthrie is pitching very well lateley and I like getting a nice road dog number here for him. The A's are coming off a nice series against the ChiSox, but I live in the Bay Area and I just don't see this team being very good.
Guthrie last two starts:
DATEOPPRESULTIPHRERHRBBSOGBFBTBF#PitDec.Rel.ERA
05/30DETL 3-66.0733211051027113---- 4.86
05/25TORW 4-17.071101491429107W(4-4)-- 4.90

Rez's Picks:

Finally had a nice day. I'm just posting my early play of Fernando Gonzalez in the morning over Soderling, who's having a miracle run and should be taken out tomorrow morning easily. I also want to take Potro over Federer since Potro is my favourite after Nadal, but Federer is on his game this tournament so I'm avoiding it. But at +300 I think anyone that takes it is getting alot of value with that line, as Federer is nowhere near a lock tomorrow.

Damn I'm choked Gonzalez couldn't make the comeback, and I'm even more choked Federer won.. barely....
oh well let's get 'em hard tonight..
A few home teams I like tonight are the Mariners with Felix, the Dodgers against 80-year old Moyer, the Fish with Volstad tonight, and the Tigers with the ridiculous Verlander on the mound. I am also on the Dodgers for the first 5 innings.
For some totals, I like the over 10 in Wash/NYM with two terrible pitchers up, and I love the MIL/ATL under 8 with two of the best pitchers out there tonight. I'm all over the Dodgers tonight and am taking their team total over 5 as well.
Finally one underdog runline I'm playing is the Rangers with Millwood +1.5, as Brad Penny has not convinced me yet..
Good luck guys!

Danno's Picks:

Goin with Detroit and Verlander to pitch well at home...Likin CC and the Yanks.... Lovin Bosox and Penny... Fa Ffish and Volstad... Stayin with my man Galardo and the Brew Crew on the road and the Cardinals and Wainright.... Also thinkin the Dodgers will rock the old man Moyer and win with Milton at home where they DOMINATE !!!

Bunyah's Picks:

Going with a few picks today in baseball. Gotta run with the Yankees, Red Sox, Cardinals, and under 9.5 on the dodgers

Tool's Picks:

Minnesota over Seattle today.

MIN are 22-7 in their last 29 Fri. games.
SEA are 8-1 in their last 9 Fri. games.
SEA are 3-11 in their last 14 games following a win.
Under is 11-3 in SEA last 14 overall.

just gonna follow the trend on this one

Finished 2-1 yesterday, with a PPD game. I guess there was no reason to believe in the White Sox after all. Looks like a big card to me for the 5th. Hope we all win some money!

Two 5 inning selections and possibly 5 ML picks -
1)Detoit with Verlander (5 inning)
2)KC with Greinke (5 inning)
3)
4)Wash. Nats. - battle of the worst pitchers, I'll take the better bats
5)Nats/Mets over 10 or less - don't know the line yet, but if the total is 10 or less, I'm on the over
6)Seattle/Minn. over 7.5
7)TAMPA damn BAY with Price over the way overvalued (in this game at least) Yanks - this may be a good 5 inning bet also. Sabathia's been good lately, but he's spotty a lot of the time. Price is good and getting better, and I think he'll match up well with the Yankees. TB offense is good enough to take this one.

  1. 41-24 for the crew today. Damn impressive. LJ again shocks the world with an 8-1 day. Absolutely sick day. Samls510 went 5-1 and Rez pulled out a very nice 7-3. Great handicapping everyone. I personally sucked missing both side of the nba final but picked up the Penguins' series tieing victory

  3. Looks like the PPD game last night caused a pitching change for the cubs. I do not like the cubs with Zambrano over the Reds. Cubbies still may win, but I want to scratch my pick on the Cubs, which specified Dempster. Zambrano has a bad history against the Redlegs.

  10. I wanted to get this out there now, that I will be adding Saturdays to the rest days for razor. I think that most of you use this site as a quick escape from work and so I won't be limiting this any further. Monday thru Friday will be open for posting picks, but from here until Football, the weekends are now pick free. Hope you all have a great weekend and of course keep posting your picks for today.

  13. Newsbreak:

I'm very saddened to see that it seems Garsha from Garsha's Picks has stopped picking again. I guess since someone(that'd be me) finally started keeping an accurate record of his picks he's decided not to pick anymore. It still cracks me up to look at the record he keeps for himself on his site compared to what I have here. Bye Garsh. You won't be missed. I'm sure he'll rear his ugly head up again soon.
