Razor's Picks: (2-2)
It was a nice day off, but now back to business.
1. Cavs -7.5. This team is ANGRY. The Magic are going to take this game off and the Cavs are going to come out with a hell of a fire. There won't be any guarantees on this one from Mo, but i'll throw one out there that the Cavs win this one big.
2. Cubs over Dodgers. The Cubs bats are back and Wells has pitched very well so far this season:
DATE | OPP | RESULT | IP | H | R | ER | HR | BB | SO | GB | FB | TBF | #Pit | Dec. | Rel. | ERA |
05/23 | @SD | L 1-3 | 7.0 | 5 | 3 | 3 | 0 | 1 | 7 | 9 | 9 | 27 | 95 | L(0-1) | -- | 1.50 |
05/16 | HOU | W 5-4 | 6.0 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 3 | 4 | 11 | 5 | 23 | 97 | -- | -- | 0.00 |
05/08 | @MIL | L 2-3 | 5.0 | 5 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 2 | 5 | 8 | 6 | 21 | 84 | -- | -- | 0.00 |
3. Red Sox over Twins. Swarzak was very impressive in his debut last game vs. the Brewers, but that just allows us to pick up huge value with Josh Beckett getting a nice low ML. I'll take it.
4. Tigers over Orioles. The O's are pitching a AAA kid today in (R) D. Hernandez - 3-1, 2.91 era, 1.06 WHIP, 60-13 K/BBin 43.3 IP in 8 start @ AAA Norfolk . Pretty damn impressive numbers, but if he wasn't impressive then he wouldn't be called to the show. I like to go against these kids when they are pitching their first big league games. Especially when they are favored. Galaragga has had some tough outings, but he'll pitch well enough to lead the Tigers to the win here.
As always, good luck to all except those going against my picks.
Rez's Picks: (3-2)
I'll take it easy with the light card tomorrow. I'm only one the Cavs -7.5 and the race to 20, which is at around -200 I believe. Also I'm on Tampa again hopefully they pull it off tomorrow. I also like the Cubs at home with Wells and finally the under 8 runs in ARI/ATL with two awesome pitchers on the mound.
Good luck all!
Danno's Picks: (2-3)
Cavs in a double digit win... Baltimore with the rookie Hernandez and the CUBS and Atlanta Braves and DLOWE on the Road !!!!.... Bookem !!!!
**Red Sox with Beckett..** This pick was removed from the list due to game already over. Nice pick though. Sox Win!!
Bunyah's Picks:
Tool's Picks: (2-2)
cubs -Wells and the dogers been aweful hot. hoping they slow down a lil
arizona -gonna ride the 4-0 home streak and hope that they score some runs
Orlando +7.5 -Cant see Orlando sitting. They want to get this over as much i as i do. Hoping for a tight game. why should it stop now.
Ov191 -cavs should have a much better shooting percentage and orl up thier ass should help keep this one over.
Dankone's Picks:
EFlo's Picks:
BowlSnapper's Picks: (1-1)
I think I owe Burke Badenhop an apology for last night. Ouch!
Two picks tonight, with a very light schedule. A chance to breathe a bit and just watch some games for fun for a change.
I already played Boston this afternoon, but can't include that here since it's 3-1 in the bottom of the 8th as I post this. I'm leaning toward the Dodgers, but I feel uneasy about it. So, these are my two:
Cleveland/Orlando over 190.5 in what should be a hotly contested basketball game, and Braves over Dbacks on the money line. Derek Lowe has a nice record vs. Arizona and Haren has been sloppy of late. And if you saw the implosion of the Dbacks bullpen last night, you'd feel even better about this pick. Although, today is a new day...
Good luck tonight.
Garsha's Pick: (0-1)
Cubs
BamaHammer's Picks:
KyleC's Picks: (1-1)
Looking to get off the shnide tonight, but then again, maybe not. I like the Magic at +7.5, but my super lock is over 190.5. Put it on the board.
RedRaider's Picks:
bbfreak's Picks: (3-1)
A modest 4-1 yesterday. Let's roll with today's picks:
Rays ML
Despite the injuries of Jason Bartlett, Pat Burrell, and Akinori Iwamura, Rays will get one game back today against the Indians. Jeff Niemann will get it done, 4-0 in his last 4 starts. Look for Evan Longoria and Carl Crawford to keep Rays' bats warm against the struggling David Huff.
Red Sox ML
Josh Beckett is 6-1 in the last 7 starts against AL Central, 2-1 against the Twinkies with 4.74 ERA. Hoping for the Red Sox's bats to rough up Twinkies' rookie starting pitcher Anthony Swarzak.
Dodgers ML
They are playing well right now and manufacturing plenty of runs support. 8, 7, 16, and 10 runs on their last 4 games. Randy Wolfs is totally decent too, 5-0 in last 5 starts against a team with a winning record and 6-1 in last 7 starts against NL Central.
Cavs -7.5
I think LBJ and company will take tonight's game. I know Magic totally has Cavs numbers, but it's playoff game 5 and Cavs down 3-1. Time to wake up Cavs! Eeessshhh... This is the first time I'm taking Cavs in the Conference Final series. Hope it's the right time... =)
Good luck everyone!
Hollywood's Picks: (3-2)
hey whats up again boys.....really upset about man u losing yesterday, but i mean one team can't win em all! ReplyDeleteHey razor,
ReplyDeleteGood call taking tonight off, pretty rough stuff if you ask me.

Daily records are now recorded next to your names on your picks. You can see an example of this on yesterday's post. Please take a moment to double check that I've correctly recorded your results. I've also added a total row to the main board. Over 50% for the whole lot of us. Nice work everyone!
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating,
Raz
Hey Rez,
ReplyDeleteYup was a little ugly yesterday. Blue Jays are just sad right now. I don't think i could've taken losing that game after losing the Rays game over the weekend. Good luck tomorrow. Cubs and Cavs!!
